Performance
Even with a full load of passengers, the Carnival will move with authority as you merge onto I-355 thanks to its standard 3.5L V6 engine. Producing up to 287 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque, it’s a robust system that’s tied to a standard 8-speed automatic transmission to deliver smooth and responsive acceleration. When you need to help a family member move, you can hook up a trailer and haul serious cargo thanks to the MPV’s 3,500-lb. maximum towing capacity1. Activating the standard Eco drive mode, on the other hand, will extend how long you can travel before needing to refill the 19-gal. fuel tank. All of this capability comes with a smooth, comfortable ride provided by the standard independent multi-link rear suspension assembly.
Interior
Up to eight people can climb into the 2026 Kia Carnival. They’ll do so comfortably with 41.1/40.5/35.6 in. of first-, second-, and third-row leg room, respectively, giving them plenty of space to stretch. On days when your goal is to move the largest amount of equipment or luggage possible, the MPV can provide up to 145.1 cu. ft. of storage volume2. It’s more than just spacious, however, as demonstrated by amenities such as its available 8-way power-adjustable heated3 and ventilated front seats. Extend those luxuries to your backseat passengers with the optional second-row power lounge chairs, which also include a one-touch relaxation mode with a raised footrest so that they can recline after a long hike around the Morton Arboretum.
Safety
The Carnival provides an extensive suite of safety and driver-assist features, including the standard Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist4 function. It kicks in when you try to merge into an occupied lane and can automatically move the MPV away from a potential accident. When you’re waiting at a stoplight, the standard Driver Attention Warning’s Leading Vehicle Departure Alert5 system can let you know when the car ahead starts to move. If you’re making your way through unfamiliar streets, standard Intelligent Speed Limit Assist6 keeps an eye out for local signage and can let you set your cruising speed to match the law, automatically adjusting whenever necessary.
